Satisfy You

I posted about my wife writing this song almost two years ago, which you can read here. Yesterday, I uploaded the video of her singing it at our church to YouTube, so I wanted to post it here as well. She really is an amazing singer, song writer, mom and wife! The lyrics are posted below if you want to read them.

Satisfy You
By Kimberly Porter

I’ve been left here in my tears alone
Their eyes seem blinded to my pain
I sit waiting for a ray of hope
Doors are closed with no ground to gain

Still in this dying hope I sit
Desperately wanting to escape
Please give me courage to endure
This grimy pit while I wait

Give me a sign that You’re ready to move
What you want, I’m so ready to do
If I’m not full flavor than please keep me here for a while
Till I completely satisfy You

I’ve been simmering here for so long
Fighting the bitterness setting in
Someday a glimmer of light I will see
You will lift me up out of this tomb

Bridge:
For Your faithfulness has proven to me
That You’re timing is perfect
Even when I can’t see
Where I am is where You want me to be
Cuz’ You love me, You love me

Give me a sign that You’re ready to move
What you want, I’m so ready to do
If I’m not full flavor than please keep me here for a while
Till I completely satisfy You
